Eligibility and teams
- Participants must be [18+ / students / open to all] and registered before the deadline.
- Teams have 1 to 4 members. Each person can join only one team.
- Teams can change members until hacking starts, but not after.
Timing and originality
- All project work must happen during the official hacking window. Planning ideas, sketching, and setting up tools beforehand is fine; writing project code is not.
- You may use open-source libraries, public APIs, templates, and AI coding tools. Credit them in your submission.
- Projects submitted to another hackathon or built before the event aren't eligible.
Working with existing apps
- Your project must clearly upgrade a real, existing app. Building an unrelated new app doesn't qualify.
- Use only public APIs, official extension or plugin systems, or your own recreation of the screens you're changing.
- Don't hack into, scrape against the terms of, or disrupt any real service, and don't use real users' private data.
- Use the app's name to describe your project, but don't present it as official or imply the company endorses it.
- Teams keep ownership of what they build.
